SUMMARY:Train the trainer - breast health promotion
DESCRIPTION:An Open College Network (OCN) accredited course in promoting breast awareness for voluntary\, community or health sector workers. \nThis course provides you with the knowledge\, skills and resources to deliver this crucial health message in the community. Interactive sessions will help you gain the skills to: \n – Understand and describe how to be breast aware – Help people overcome barriers to accessing health services – Explain the NHS breast screening screening and the process – Discuss breast awareness on a one-to-one basis with individuals – Deliver breast awareness workshops \n   \nAn opportunity to take part in a training course delivered by Breast Cancer Care and accredited by the OCN. \nThis two-day training course is designed to give confidence in delivering breast awareness messages to groups and individuals.  \nAccredited participants will be awarded four credits by the OCN. DESCRIPTION:This FREE practitioner network is a lively\, participatory workshop which provides an opportunity for peers to engage\, share and support each other. The March event looks at information sharing and feedback. There will also be opportunities for you to network and hear about each other’s projects\, plus an icebreaker and an evaluation exercise. The network is suitable for anyone working in the field of participation and citizen engagement. Attendees come from a range of different organisations in the public and third sector that focus on a variety of issues.
