DESCRIPTION:The aim of this Participation Cymru training course is for participants to engage more effectively and confidently with communities through public meetings/events. \n   \nRepresenting your organisation at a public event is a responsibility which is daunting for the most experienced people. This course focuses on presentation skills and dealing with difficult situations and behaviours. Participants will learn how to prepare for a public event\, how to give an effective presentation\, conveying the information the audience wants to know using appropriate communication styles\, and explores techniques for dealing with challenging issues and situations. \n    By attending this course you will be able to: \nBe better prepared for holding public events \n – Use your own style of presenting with confidence – Design and deliver powerful presentations – Be more confident in dealing with people at a public event – Deal more effectively with challenging situations – Demonstrate techniques for dealing with challenging behaviour \n    \nWho is this course for? This course is aimed at individuals or organisations that need to represent their organisation at public meetings with citizens and communities.

SUMMARY:Early Support Key Worker Training
DESCRIPTION:This is a 2.5-day training course with the other days being 28th February and 8th March. Please note that there is NO CHARGE for this training. Participants must attend all 3 days. \n    \nAims of the course: \n – Support participants to understand the national context for key working and for the delivery of services for disabled children and children with additional needs and their families – Help participants to explore the Early Support principles and approaches and apply them to their practice – Enable participants to embrace the family’s experience\, understanding how to use the family’s strengths to solve problems and work in partnership with the family – Explore the effective use of the Early Support materials – Promote an integrated approach to working with other services and agencies\, keeping the family at the centre – Explore the key worker’s role\, responsibilities and best practice in key working – Help participants to develop their practical key working skills  – Encourage and enable participants to reflect on their practice and make use of those reflections \n   \nTimes: Day 1 & 2: 9:30am-4:00pm   Day 3: 9:30am-1:00pm
