SUMMARY:Free Training for Employers - Refugees Working in the UK: Skills\, Entitlements\, Barriers and Solutions
DESCRIPTION:   \nRefugees who have come to Wales in the process of seeking safety from persecution are a diverse group of people with a wide variety of skills and previous experience who have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Displaced People in Action provides awareness training to recruitment and supervisory personnel to: \na)     increase employer knowledge of the diverse skill pool of refugees living in Wales;  \nb)    discuss challenges that refugees may face when entering Wales’ labour force and ways in which individuals and employers can work toward positive employment and business outcomes; and  \nc)     discuss strategies to ensure recruitment practices reach refugees in Wales.  \n    \nRefugees contribute to this training by facilitating discussions and sharing personal experiences in the UK labour market.      Please email gingerdpiawales@yahoo.co.uk with your name and organisation to confirm attendance.
