DESCRIPTION:Course outline \nThis CAB two-day practical course will provide a detailed introduction to advising clients who have debt problems and is suitable for generalist advisers\, those new to money advice and advisers with other subject specialisms. \n  \nLearning objectives \nBy the end of this course you will be able to: \n·        describe the main types of debt and identify what problem debt is\, who is affects and its causes  \n·        identify the aim of money advice and the adviser’s role  \n·        recognise common situations that may affect a client’s liability for debt  \n·        assist clients to collect information on their income and expenditure to maximise their income and draft a financial statement  \n·        identify and describe to clients different strategies for dealing with multiple debt \nPrice for voluntary sector: £180 – get a 10% discount when you book at least 3 months in advance. \nFor more information and to book your place\, please visit the CAB website.

On the day we will: \n· update you on developments across the city \n· seek your input into how Cardiff Third Sector Council can better support you  \n· discuss issues that could be affecting you (such as funding\, commissioning and governance) \n· give you opportunities to discuss issues affecting specific communities in Cardiff  \n· introduce the Council’s Neighbourhood management areas and the different area teams \n· get your opinions on how the third sector can be involved with Cardiff Council to  better deliver for its citizens
