SUMMARY:Networking Evening: Volunteering & Mentoring within the Criminal Justice System
DESCRIPTION:Network for Black Professionals invites all of its members\, friends and colleagues to join them at a FREE networking sessions taking place across the country\, giving you the opportunity to make new contacts and grow your professional network. \nThe event will include an information session explaining more about the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) funded project which aims to reduce reoffending through volunteering and mentoring. You will find out about opportunities available within the Criminal Justice System (CJS) to support offenders and ex-offenders\, hear viewpoints from people currently volunteering within the CJS and find out how you can get involved. \nProgramme  \n18:00 – Networking and buffet \n18:30 – Welcome and introduction from NBP \n18:40 – National Offender Management Service (NOMS) \n18:45 – What do you know about the Criminal Justice System?  \n18:55 – How can having a Mentor help?    \n19:05 – What roles can people do?   \n19:15 – Viewpoint from volunteers within the CJS   \n19:25 – Q&A \n19:40 – What Next? \n19:45 – Further networking opportunities and a chance to meet organisations who provide training and opportunities for volunteers and mentors \n20:45 – Thanks and Close \nRegister your FREE place at http://www.nbp.org.uk/coming_events/20120808/networking_evening__cardiff/  \nCancellation Policy: though the event is free of charge\, the Network does incur costs.
