SUMMARY:Facilitation training: Gain the tools and techniques to make your facilitation engaging and productive
DESCRIPTION:This Talk Action interactive course will look closely at the roles a facilitator may play and how a facilitator’s role can encourage long term community development. It will build the confidence of anyone keen to be a good facilitator and give them a solid basis on which to develop their own skills. \nPeople attending this course will learn: \n1) How and when to hold meetings and when to use other approaches 2) Build a working relationship with an existing organisation or a group of individuals 3) Use appropriate tools and techniques 4) Develop facilitation work in ways appropriate to a range of diverse communities 5) Deal with problematic situations 6) Evaluate facilitated processes \n  \nWho should attend this course? \nThe event will benefit anyone working with groups of people in formal or informal settings. SUMMARY:PGCE course open day
DESCRIPTION:Cardiff School of Social Sciences in partnership with Communities First are holding an ‘Open Day Event’\, targeting BME participants who are mostly underrepresented in the teaching profession.Dr Alan Dowler from Cardiff University will run an information session on the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and other related courses that are on offer at Cardiff University. Both of these programmes meet the entire National Standard for Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) and will qualify individuals to train or teach anywhere in the post-compulsory education sector. Entry is open to those who will be delivering 120 hours learning over the two-year period.
