DESCRIPTION:Deaf Access Cymru is running its first Festival of Sign\, a camping festival for deaf and hearing people\, their friends\, family\, students\, and anyone who uses British Sign Language (BSL). \nThe festival will give deaf people the opportunity to access activities and information in their first language and will give those who use BSL the chance to meet others who share an interest in the language and culture of the deaf community. \nThe festival takes place during the queen’s jubilee bank holiday weekend. \nVisit www.deafaccesscymru.co.uk to find out more.

SUMMARY:ABCD Cymru's diamond jubilee party and fundraising event
DESCRIPTION:The charity ABCD Cymru supports 300+ disabled children and their families. These families are some of the most disadvantaged and socially-excluded members of society\, experiencing high levels of poverty\, and multiple deprivation. \nABCD Cymru is arranging a Jubilee Party and Fundraiser on 2nd June and funds raised will be used for much-needed play days and trips for these children\, some of whom have never even been to the cinema or to a theme park or zoo/farm. \nYou can help make this event a success and put a smile on the faces of these children in the following ways: \n – Donate your unwanted gifts\, used CDs\, DVDs\, books to sell on stalls;  – Give a couple of hours of your time (to help set up stalls at the start of the day or run a stall);  – Share your skills\, e.g. some individuals will be doing manicures\, hair braiding\, henna painting\, etc.  – Bake cakes or other types of food (they will be selling exotic ethnic homemade food (curries\, samosas\, etc.) on the day at very reasonable prices;  – Any other donations towards the raffle and tombola prizes.  – In fact\, they would be grateful for ANYTHING you feel you wish to donate! \nIf you are likely to be in the area on the day\, please pop along – there will be plenty going on for everyone!  \nAdults: 50p; Children: FREE
