SUMMARY:Fuel Debt Advice course
DESCRIPTION:Riverside Advice\, in collaboration with British Gas Energy Trust\, is running a one day Fuel Debt Advice course.The course is aimed at individuals in charities\, housing associations\, health organisations and community groups who are not directly involved in an advisory role on the subject of energy efficiency. At the end of the session you will be able to: \n – ·Understand what fuel poverty is and the causes of fuel debt.  – ·Explain to your clients and service users\, fuel supplier obligations and customer responsibilities\, payment options\, bills\, billing errors.  – ·How to make a complaint  – ·How to access funding through trusts and grants There are 20 places available on the course. If you or someone from your organisation would like to attend\, please contact Riverside advice. The price is £15 per person. Tea\, coffee and buffet will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:On May the 3rd web savvy residents of Adamsdown will be there from 10am-12pm and 4pm-5pm to offer help on all things web related. Among others there will be a Digital inclusion officer and a Digital designer on hand to offer advice and support for any 3rd sector\, co-operative\, charity or local business. \nTea\, coffee and biscuits will be available as well as IT equipment. SUMMARY:Increasing impact through social media: a guide for trustees
DESCRIPTION:Social media can transform how groups communicate with their members. It can increase efficiency\, effectiveness and audience reach\, and it can do it all for free. \nThis session will give an overview of what social media is\, how it works and why it is important for the Third Sector. Participants will learn about the benefits of different social media\, understand which ones are most appropriate for their organisations\, and be able to understand how to measure their impact. \nAll sessions take place between 5pm-8pm\, at a fee of £15 per delegate for WCVA members or £20 per delegate for non-members.
