SUMMARY:Tobacco Control Training
DESCRIPTION:    \nThis is an Ash Wales dynamic hands-on training course that empowers participants with effective ways of addressing tobacco use with young people. \nTopics such as prevention\, cessation and tobacco advocacy with young people will be covered. \n   \nWho should attend? \nYouth workers\, teachers\, staff from pupil referral units\, youth detention centre staff\, school nurses and health visitors. If you want to address tobacco use with young people in your area\, then this course is for you. \n   \nWhy attend? \nSmoking and tobacco use are rightly included as major contributors to poor health in Wales. More than any other issue\, tobacco use is the greatest driver of health inequali-ties. The training covers topics such as : \n1. Tobacco use prevention \n2. Support for smoking cessation \n3. Developing advocacy and participation skills with young people around to-bacco control and smoking awareness. \n
