SUMMARY:NEA Cymru National Fuel Poverty Conference
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe National Energy Action Cymru National Fuel Poverty Conference is taking place on the 23 February 2012 and is kindly supported by British Gas. \nAgainst an uncertain economic backdrop\, many households are worried about their ability to pay their fuel bills this year. The economic downturn\, rising unemployment and cuts in social welfare payments have been compounded by increases in energy prices. The number of Welsh households experiencing fuel poverty are predicted to reach unprecedented levels: over 390\,000 households. \nThe conference will bring together a range of stakeholders from different sectors to discuss how they can together ensure fuel poverty practice and policy delivers for low income households experiencing the misery of fuel poverty in Wales.  \nThe conference will comprise two plenary sessions and a programme of four seminar workshops. Workshops will offer an opportunity for more in-depth discussion on a number of topics that reflect the diverse interests of the conference delegates. \nFind out more and download a booking form on the NEA website. \n
