DESCRIPTION: Two-day C3SC course (Day 1 is on 16 February) \n  \nYou will learn: \n· The signs and symptoms of mental health problems \n· Where and how to get help \n· What sort of help has been shown by research to be effective \nCourse aims:  \n· Preserve life where a young person may be a danger to themselves or others \n· Provide help to prevent a mental health problem developing into a more serious state \n· Promote recovery of good mental health \n· Provide comfort to a young person experiencing mental distress \nThe 12-hour course covers \n· Mental health first aid \n· Common mental health problems in young people \n· Depression \n· Anxiety disorders \n· Psychosis in young people \n· Substance use disorders \n· Eating disorders \n· Non-fatal deliberate self-harm \n  \nPlease note: there is a £10 charge for the course manual (plus course fees\, where applicable). \nThis course has been postponed from 30 and 31 January.
