SUMMARY:Against the Odds - Building Resilience in Young People
DESCRIPTION: Why do some young people cope with difficulties more easily than others? What factors really make a difference to how we deal with adversity? What can practitioners do to make a difference? This Children in Wales one-day course explores how you can develop an approach that builds on strengths to help young people deal with adversity\, cope with change\, survive disappointment and manage crises. SUMMARY:Cardiff's Housing and Homeless Conference 2012
DESCRIPTION:FULLY BOOKED  \nHousing & Neighbourhood Renewal is hosting its second joint Housing & Homelessness Conference on 2 February 2012. This event will examine key challenges facing housing and homelessness services\, and will give the opportunity for a variety of partners to share their views. As part of our workshop programme\, we will be concentrating on key issues such as exploring housing options for 16-17 year olds\, proposed changes to the homelessness legislation and the recently publicised issue of empty properties. \nThere is a nominal charge of £15 per delegate. The deadline for bookings is 20 January 2012. Unfortunately\, due to limited spaces\, bookings will be made on a first come\, first serve basis.
