DESCRIPTION:The new Housing Act 2015 will be examined in detail along with the Children Act 1989 and Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000\, to demonstrate how young people can be best empowered to deal with housing crisis and homelessness positively. \nThe Shelter Cymru course includes: \n\nRelevant homelessness legislation\, statutory duties\, and the Code of Guidance\nWorking with young people\, with a focus on homelessness prevention\nThe duties owed towards young people\nThe potential of the Children Act 1989\nChildren (Leaving Care) Act 2000 duties\n\nThis course is suitable for anyone who works with or advises young people and needs a clear understanding of their housing rights within the legislative framework of service provision. \nNo prior housing knowledge or experience is required. \nTrainer: Natasha Vidini \nBook online
