DESCRIPTION:A conference to identify\, discuss and develop actions to challenge the effects of 21st Century welfare changes on women in Wales \nThe conference will be opened with a Ministerial address\, and you’ll hear from expert speakers from: \n – The Fawcett Society – The Bevan Foundation – Wales Co-Op Centre – Shelter Cymru – WEN Wales – Bron Afon Community Housing. \nCurrent changes to the welfare system pose a significant threat to women’s independence that could see their financial independence eroded\, ability to remain in work undermined and dependence on partners increased. \nAs a proactive response you are invited to attend What would Mrs Pankhurst do?\, a conference organised by Chwarae Teg and in partnership with the Women in Society Journal. \n    \nAt the conference you will: \n – Gain knowledge to help your organisation mitigate the impact – Learn from experts about the true extent of the impact on women – Develop and share ideas to strengthen our response – Network with likeminded delegates – Influence Chwarae Teg’s work in this area \n    \nThis is your opportunity to ensure that together we develop the best response possible to minimise the regressive impact of welfare reform. \n   \nLunch and refreshments will be provided for delegates. \n    \nTo book your place go to: http://mrspankhurst.eventbrite.co.uk/Fee: £75 plus VAT per delegate.
