SUMMARY:WCVA Learning: Safeguarding in the Third Sector (Wales)
DESCRIPTION:Aim\n To give an introduction to safeguarding that will increase participants’ knowledge and understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities and where to find further information.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nContent\n Welsh Government has said that “Safeguarding is everyone’s business”\, while the Charity Commission has stated that “Safeguarding is a key governance priority” for charities. Safeguarding should be a priority for all third sector organisations\, and especially those that work with children\, young people and adults at risk. Good and appropriate safeguarding provides public reassurance about your organisation and contributes to the positive reputation of the third sector in general. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearning outcomes\n By the end of the course participants should be able to:  \n\nConsider their safeguarding practice to prevent harm\, abuse or neglect to the people in their organisations\nDevelop or revise their safeguarding policy\nUnderstand the legislation that underpins safeguarding in Wales\nKnow where to find a wider range of safeguarding resources\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n For more information go here.
