DESCRIPTION:Visible Women: Empowering Girls and Women in WalesRedefining the Gender Agenda \nAfrican Mothers Foundation International (AMFI) is a woman-led\, non-profit organisation based in Cardiff. AMFI brings communities in Britain and Sub-Saharan Africa together to work in partnership\, to be the voice of the voiceless\, to challenge gender disparity and to help end global poverty through educating girls and enabling them to become powerful agents of change within their families\, communities and nations. \nAccording to global statistics\, just 39 percent of girls from developing countries attend secondary school while in Wales we have different issues. Join African Mothers Foundation International to celebrate International Women’s Day and discuss how to accelerate the gender agenda. This will be a fun-filled\, informative and empowering event. \nThe event is free\, however\, please feel free to donate £10 towards your meal. Please make cheques payable to AMFI and post to \nAfrican Mothers Foundation International\, Temple of Peace and Health\, King Edward VII\, Cardiff CF10 3AP. \nThis event is funded by the Welsh Government.
