SUMMARY:The Bigger Picture - Working with Children and Families in Wales
DESCRIPTION:This three hour workshop is aimed at supporting a better informed and engaged multi agency cross sector workforce to deliver Welsh Government Policy \nThe session will support people from a wide range of organisations to understand the distinctive Welsh legislative and policy framework for children and families that has developed as a result of increasing devolution from Westminster.  The session will consider current Welsh legislation around children and families\, Welsh Government policy and strategies on issues including how Children’s Rights are being addressed through initiatives on child poverty\, health\, social care and education.  The course will explore Welsh Government programmes including Families First\, Flying Start\, Communities First and Integrated Family Support considering the roles and priorities of different sectors involved in delivering these and the challenges faced by everyone. \nFind out more and book online via the Children in Wales website
