DESCRIPTION:This Cardiff Council training is for managers\, supervisors and senior staff working in social care settings. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you will be able to: \n\nAn understanding of management styles and the implications of effective supervision\nHow to agree and monitor objectives\nWhen and how to delegate\nUnderstand key communication skills\nUnderstand the key concepts of motivation\nUnderstand the impact of attitude and language\nHow to implement time management strategies\nLearn how and when to implement individual management styles and identify which is most appropriate in a given set of circumstances\nIdentify the value and possibilities associated with the manager as a coach\nLearn how to handle difficult or conflict situations\nUnderstand their team and the stages of team development\nProvides the framework on decision making and setting objectives\n\nA certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who attend the whole session.
