SUMMARY:Stoma Care Awareness
DESCRIPTION:This Cardiff Council course is facilitated by Pip Chandler – Charter Healthcare Stoma Care Nurse Specialist. \nThe aim of the course is to introduce stoma care so that the audience get an understanding of: \n – What a stoma is and why people have them. – The basic practical care of a stoma\, focusing on how to template and prepare stoma products.  – Look potential complications and when and how to seek help. \nTarget group: staff in direct social care roles – residential and domiciliary care. \nA Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants who attend the whole session. Refreshments will be provided on arrival but lunch will not be provided. \n \nRegistration and coffee from 9.30am.
