SUMMARY:Spider-Hack event: creating solutions and new opportunities for young people not in employment\, education or training
DESCRIPTION:The Spider-Hack two-day event will bring together teams of young people\, businesses\, third sector organisations and Cardiff Council\, to work with the support of designers and developers\, to design better ways for young people to make decisions about their future.   \nThe event will create new web and mobile applications to help young people make informed choices about their future; whether to go to university\, look for alternative training or find an employer. This is your chance to be part of creating solutions that lead to new opportunities for young people not in employment\, education or training.  \nColleagues in the public sector\, youth services and third sector\, young people\, designers and developers are encouraged to register their interest. Prizes will be given to the teams that produce the best solutions over the two days.   \nThe event is organised by PDR (the National Centre for Product Design and Development Research)\, Design Wales and Cardiff Council\, as part of SPIDER (Supporting Public Service Innovation using Design in European Regions). \nPlease note: you don’t need to know how to code to attend\, or have an in-depth knowledge of NEETs. \nHow to get involved \nIf you would like to attend the hack event please register your interest at www.spider-hack.eventbrite.com or if you have any questions please contact Chris Brooker: cbrooker@pdronline.co.uk / (029) 2041 6681.
