DESCRIPTION:Gypsy\, Roma and Traveller Children in the Welsh Education System: Promoting Equality and Tackling Racism Practitioner Conference \nShow Racism the Red Card is a leading anti-racism educational charity with extensive experience of delivering equality training. This FREE event is aimed at practioners across Wales who engage with Gypsy\, Roma & Traveller (GRT) young people and their families.\n \nThis training day seeks to provide practitioners with a safe and non-judgmental environment to explore issues relating to racism. We know that racism towards Gyspy\, Roma & Traveller children is still an issue that many teachers and practitioners have to deal with in schools; there is often uncertainty about how to deal with racist incidents\, how to respond to inappropriate language relating to ethnicity\, how to navigate cultural sensitivities and how to embed equality into general practice. This conference will offer practical activities and solutions to deal with these issues.\n \nFind out more.\n
