SUMMARY:Recruiting\, Selecting and Inducting Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:Build safe\, inclusive and effective volunteer programmes with best practice in recruitment\, selection\, vetting and induction.\n\n\nAre you a volunteer supervisor\, manager or coordinator in Cardiff? Want to know how to effectively and safely recruit\, select and induct volunteers? This training course is for you! \nVolunteers are at the heart of many third sector organisations\, but effective recruitment and onboarding require more than filling vacancies. This practical training will help you build safe\, inclusive and sustainable volunteer programmes that attract\, select and support the right people into the right roles. ​  \nBy the end of the course\, you will: \n\nUnderstand the purpose and nature of volunteer recruitment and volunteer induction\nRecognise ways volunteering can be made more accessible to all\nBe familiar with methods to recruit a diversity of volunteers\nRecognise selection as a two-way process and be familiar with a range of selection tools\nUnderstand the use and limitations of DBS checks\nUnderstand how to make every volunteer feel welcomed\n\nDate: Tuesday 8th December 2026 \nTime: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm \nThe training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre.
