SUMMARY:Recording Skills training for staff in social care
DESCRIPTION:Learning Aim – to develop staff skills in the effective management\, presentation and sharing of records and reports appropriate to the service intervention. \nBy the end of the programme participants will be able to: \n\nRecognise the importance of recording for the agency and the service user.\nMaintain accurate\, complete\, accessible and up to date records and reports.\nProvide evidence for judgements and decisions.\nImplement legal and policy frameworks for access to records and reports.\nShare records appropriately with individuals\, families and carers.\nIdentify the impact of selective perception on observation and recording.\nReflect the service user’s perspective and views in the case record.\nDistinguish fact from opinion and provide an assessment and analysis of information.\nMaintain a clear focus in the case record\, identifying the need for service\, service goals and plans\, service activities and the impact of services.\n\nTo book or find out more\, please email scwdp@cardiff.gov.uk
