SUMMARY:Protection of Vulnerable Adults - Decision Making and Information Sharing (POVA Level 3)
DESCRIPTION:Target group: Adult Services Team managers; Social Workers and anyone with Case Management / Care Co-ordinator responsibility; managers of residential homes and managers of domiciliary agencies. \nIt is essential that all participants have attended (or completed previously) the Council run\, Recognition and Referral Training (Level 2 POVA) or have completed refresher using the E-learning package at this level. \nOverview of Training: \n\nStages of Strategic Process\nRoles and responsibilities within the strategic process\nGathering/sharing Information\n\nAims of the course: \n\nTo provide practitioners with an understanding of their role within the POVA strategic process.\n\nObjectives of the course: \nAt the end of the course you will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the scope and purpose of the POVA process.\nUnderstand your role and responsibilities within the POVA process.\n\nCourse facilitator: Kevin Jones\, Independent Adult Protection Consultant and Trainer \n  \nPlease note: Training courses run by Cardiff Council are now only accessible via the ‘Cardiff Council Academy Online on Learning Pool’. Each course participant must have an account on the site in order to make a booking and as managerial authorisation is required for each course booking\, a line manager or training co-ordinator within your organisation must also have an account.
