SUMMARY:Project Management basics for EU funded projects
DESCRIPTION:This WCVA course aims to provide an introduction to the project management process and to examine how you can best ensure project success through each of the stages of the project. \nThis course will introduce you to the specific requirements of managing an EU funded project or contract\, as distinct from projects funded through other sources\, helping you to avoid common pitfalls. You will discover how to identify the critical success factors for EU funded projects\, get to grips with the basics of apportionment\, and understand how to successfully evaluate and close down a project.  \nIf you are new to EU projects\, have come to the middle of a project and want to make sure you are following best practice or you need to learn about where you may have made mistakes in the past\, then this could be the course for you.  \n By attending this course you will be able to… \n• Describe the project cycle • Understand some of the key concepts and common terminology of project management  • Understand EU funding rules and regulations and how they apply to your project • Understand the role of monitoring and evaluation of your project • Understand what contributes towards project success \n• Understand how to identify and manage risks \nWho is this course for?   \nIndividuals who are involved in managing or delivering EU funded contracts or projects\, or who need to have a general understanding of the principles of running an EU funded project in order to support those directly involved in managing an EU funded project.  \nFREE for third sector EU funded projects (sponsors or contractors).
