SUMMARY:Preparing for Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:This training will help you understand the policies and processes you should have in place to welcome volunteers to your organisation.\n\n\nThe training will help you improve your knowledge on welcoming volunteers to your organisation. It would be suitable for volunteer managers\, coordinators\, supervisors\, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting\, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space\, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course\, you will: \n\nBe able to develop a volunteering policy​\nHave considered what other policies might be necessary ​\nUnderstand key legal issues relating to volunteers​\nBe able to develop volunteer ‘role descriptions’​\nKnow how to assess and manage risk associated with a volunteer role\n\nDate: Wednesday 16th June 2025 \nTime: 2 pm – 4:30 pm \nThe training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre.
