SUMMARY:Person Centred Care
DESCRIPTION:The course is designed to provide an understanding of Person-Centred Care in the context of social care for domiciliary and residential staff. The day will cover person centred care planning\, creativity and communication in addition to issues around rights and capacity. The overall focus is on well-being for all involved in the care process. \nTaught over 1 day using tutor facilitated learning\, mini lectures\, group work and audiovisual presentations\, this is a highly interactive and emotionally engaging experience. \nParticipants will gain an attendance certificate mapped to the relevant QCF units: \n\nUnderstand person-centred approaches for care and support (Unit 4222-207 LO1)\nUnderstand the principles and practice of person-centred thinking\, planning and reviews (Unit 4222-246 LO1)\nUnderstand the context within which person-centred thinking and planning takes place (Unit 4222-246 LO2)\nUnderstand own role in person-centred planning\, thinking and reviews (Unit 4222-246 LO3)\nUnderstand the use of person-centred planning tools\n\nTargeted to: Managers and senior staff working in social care.
