SUMMARY:Managing an EU funded project
DESCRIPTION:3 SET will facilitate a course Managing an EU funded project: An introduction to EU Project Management. The aim of the course is to equip third sector project managers and delivery staff with the skills and tools needed to effectively manage a European funded project.  \n The course will cover: \n\nAn introduction to the European Structural and Investment Funds (2014-2020)\nWhat is a project?\nProject compliance and eligibility\nWhat are critical success factors?\nRisk\nFinance and record keeping\nStakeholder management and managing publicity\nMonitoring and evaluation\nAudit requirements\n\nBy the end of the course participants will have learned / be able to: \n\nDescribe the project cycle\nUnderstand some of the key concepts and common terminology of project management\nUnderstand EU funding rules and regulations and how they apply to your project\nUnderstand the role of monitoring and evaluation of your project\nUnderstand what contributes towards project success\nUnderstand how to identify and manage risks\n\nTarget group: Staff from third sector organisations who will be involved in managing EU Structural Funds projects\, either as a direct sponsor or as a sub-contractor. \n Cost: It is free to third sector organisations currently delivering or interested in delivering European funded activity. \n If you would like to participate in this session please complete the attached booking form and return to training@wcva.org.uk
