SUMMARY:Living with Asperger’s - I Will Experience
DESCRIPTION:This Cardiff Council course is for all staff working in social care with an interest in or need for a basic understanding of Asperger’s. \nCourse content/learner outcomes: \nTo be taken on an emotive journey through the world of hidden impairments. \nDesigned for people to gain a basic understanding of what learning difficulties and social communications disorders are and look like; and more importantly what they mean to the individual and society. \nBe able to recognise barriers which are created by society through the eyes of the service user\, motivating service providers to give more effective help and support to those with learning difficulties and social communications disorders. \nDiscover what’s possible with the right mind-set! \nA certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who attend the whole session. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. \nParticipants should aim to arrive between 09:00 and 09:30 for registration
