SUMMARY:Learning Disability & Dementia Training
DESCRIPTION:This Cardiff Council training course is for staff in social care roles i.e. residential and domiciliary care support workers\, supervisors and managers. \nLearning Outcomes \n– Understand common forms of dementia. \n– Understand the process of deterioration in dementia. \n– Examine the prevalence rates of dementia in learning disabilities. \n– Review assessment methods for dementia in learning disabilities. \n– Understand Person Centred Dementia Care\, tools and techniques. \n– Understand communication methods used in dementia care. \nA Certificate of Attendance and a workbook will be issued.
