DESCRIPTION:This Wales Audit Office webinar will share how Open Standards can enable better integration of public services. \n \nOpen Standards make it easier for systems to work together and exchange data. They can help public services to integrate\, collaborate and take a long term view of procurement and public service delivery. These are three of the five ways of working that are at the heart of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.\n \nThis webinar from the Good Practice Exchange at the Wales Audit Office will share how Open Standards can enable better integration of public services.\n \nThe webinar\, which takes place on 5 April\, will look at how Open Standards can make it easier for systems to work together and exchange data. They can help public services to integrate\, collaborate and take a long term view of procurement and public service delivery. These are three of the five ways of working that are at the heart of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.\n\nInformation Technology departments across public services have traditionally purchased proprietary software. The obscure output formats from these systems often result in organisations being locked-in to contracts.
