DESCRIPTION:This Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations course will teach you to understand the many and various elements that make up health and safety guidance. You will also learn how to develop the systems and practical knowledge to apply the theory into practice back at your workplace/venue.By the end of the course you will understand the issues regarding;Accidents and ill health; Slips\, trips and falls;  Health and safety law; Risk assessment; Hazardous substances; Personal protective equipment; Workplace health\, safety and welfare; Fire prevention; First aid; Work equipment and electricity; Occupational health and noise; Ergonomics and workstation design; Manual handling. Please note: you will be asked to bring identification with you to obtain the certificate. Preferably this will be photographic  (e.g. passport\, driving license). If you cannot provide this\, we will accept a bank card (credit or debit) showing your signature.Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years. \nThis course will teach you to understand the many and various elements that make up health and safety guidance.
