SUMMARY:Hate Crime and Social Housing seminar
DESCRIPTION:This Tai Pawb event is a great chance to learn from best practice and share information on how social housing can respond to the challenges posed by hate crime. With speakers from a wide range of sectors\, this seminar will look at practical responses that can help both tackle hate crime and prevent hate crime occurring. This is a practice focused session and speakers include: \n – ·Jan Fox\, Wales and West Housing Association and Wales Social Landlords Anti-Social Behaviour Forum  – ·Jennie Bibbings\, Shelter Cymru  – ·Hodan Hersi\, Race Equality First  – ·John Edwards\, Torfaen People First – ·Housing & Public Protection Department at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (TBC) – ·South Wales Police (TBC) \n  \nThis half-day seminar will be of interest to Housing Officers\, Equality and Diversity managers\, Anti-social Behaviour Officers\, Tenant Participation and Engagement Officers\, customer service staff\, tenants\, others working in the housing sector and those working with groups who may experience hate crime. \n  \nA buffet lunch will be provided. \nCost: Tai Pawb members £30; non-members £40. \nFor further information about this event and to book your place\, please email
