SUMMARY:GVS Training: Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1 Day Course
DESCRIPTION:Who should attend: People who want to receive training in emergency first aid. It is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller\, low risk working environments e.g. offices. \nThe day will cover: \n\nRoles and responsibilities of a first aider\, including dealing with incidents in a safe manner\nDealing with a breathing\nbut unresponsive casualty\nDealing with a casualty who is having a seizure\nRecognise cardiac arrest and perform CPR including the use of an AED\nAdminister first aid to a casualty with an airway obstruction\nAdminister first aid to a casualty with external bleeding.\nRecognise and treat a casualty in shock\nHow to treat a casualty with minor injuries. (Burns cuts\, bruises and splinters)\n\nAssessment: Multiple choice questions\, and continuous observation by the trainer \nQualification: Successful candidates will receive EFAW certification for which is valid for three years. The qualification complies with current HSE Legislation \nPhysical ability: Candidates must confirm that they are fit and well enough to partake in the physical elements \nID: Photographic ID must be shown to the trainer on the first day of the course \nDress Code: Suitable clothing for practical activities which involves lying on the floor \nBook online through Eventbrite \nCost: £50 (normal price £118.80)
