SUMMARY:FREE South Wales Fire & Rescue Service Firefighter Taster Day
DESCRIPTION:This December\, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) will be recruiting for Wholetime Duty System Firefighters.  \nAs part of the lead up to the recruitment campaign\, they are running “Firefighter Taster sessions” for groups who are currently under-represented within the service e.g females\, individuals from different faiths and from Black\, Asian and Multi-Ethnic communities and individuals who identify as LGB and/or T. \nDuring these events we will be conducting different sessions including: \n\nWho South Wales Fire and Rescue Service is and what we do; including more information on the role of the Firefighter.\nA showcase of our physical assessments which we will encourage you to take part in if you so wish.\nA presentation on recruitment and the application process.\nA Question and answer session with a current Firefighter.\n\nIf you are 17 years and 6 months old or above by 5th December 2016 and would like to attend any of these events\, please get in touch.  \nThe remaining date for morning and afternoon sessions is Saturday 26th November 2016. \nIf you are interested in signing up to these events please phone 01443 232183 between 9am and 4:30pm or by email together@southwales-fire.gov.uk
