SUMMARY:Domestic Homicide Review Training
DESCRIPTION:As you may be aware\, the Cardiff Partnership is required to conduct a Domestic Homicide Review in the event of the death of a person aged 16 or over has\, or appears to have\, resulted from violence\, abuse or neglect by: \n(a) a person to whom he was related or with whom he was or had been in an intimate personal relationship\, or \n(b) a member of the same household as himself\, held with a view to identifying the lessons to be learnt from the death. \n  \nFurther details regarding the requirements can be obtained by emailing whatmatters@cardiff.gov.uk for a copy of the briefing and guidance. \nIn order to ensure that partners would be able to effectively respond to any review being undertaken\, South Wales Police are kindly hosting this FREE training session.   \nThe session will be delivered by Martyn Lloyd-Evans and Paul Bethell from the Review Unit and the aim will be to give attendees an overview of the processes regarding multi-agency reviews to enable them to: \n – Conduct a Review  – Make Recommendations  – Prepare a report  \n  \nThe presentation will cover: \n•      History of Reviews \n•      Senior Investigators perspective \n•      Role of the IPCC \n•      Review Legislation \n•      Selecting the Reviewer \n•      Police Practices \n•      Terms of Reference   \n•      Methodology \n•      Preparing the Report \n•      Record Keeping / Disclosure \n•      Media \n•      Case Studies \n•      What do we do now? \n•      Plenary session \n  \nPlaces will be allocated on a first come\, first served basis. \n
