DESCRIPTION:(Sgroliwch i lawr am y Gymraeg) \nThe course aims to increase knowledge and skills in food and nutrition. Following the course\, participants will be able to pass on basic\, up-to-date information to those they work with and support them to eat well. The course will provide ideas and resources to use with client groups. \nThere will be support available after the course for those who want to put their learning into practice and deliver healthy eating messages to their groups. \nCourse content: \n\nHealthy eating guidelines and the Eatwell guide\nNutrition and health\nHealthy weight management\nFactors affecting food choice and eating well on a limited budget\nBarriers to a healthy diet and helping people change their eating behaviours\nFood labelling\nNutrition for specific client groups\nMenu planning and adapting recipes\nFood facts and myths & useful food and nutrition resources\n\nThe course involves 30 hours of learning and upon completion is an accreditation of three credits. It will be delivered face to face on 2 hour sessions during 10 weeks. \nTime: \n9:30am to 11:30am \nDates: \nFridays: 11th March\, 18th March\, 25th March\, 8th April\, 22nd April\, 29th April\, 6th May\, 13th May and 20th May\, 27th May. \nVenue: \nThe training course will be delivered Butetown Community Centre (Loudoun Square\, Cardiff CF10 5UZ) following COVID -19 rules.
