DESCRIPTION:Bullying is… anyone going to care?\nWhen young people of the Young Wales Anti Bullying Network were asked to name one thing they wanted to prioritise about bullying they said: \n“We just want someone to care” \nIs that really too much to ask? \nRegardless of ‘bullying being everyone’s business’ and having a responsibility to intervene through prevention methods\, enforcement through policies and consequences and restorative practices it is still happening – you could contemplate \n‘Is it getting worse?’ \nYou are invited to come along to this Children in Wales free event to tell us your thoughts on how we can improve anti bullying work across Wales – help us shape our proposals to initiate change that will show children and young people that others do care and that we feel equipped to help them! \nAt this event you will hear from: \nSarah Thomas\, Children in Wales http://www.childreninwales.org.uk and the Young Wales Project http://www.youngwales.wales introducing the day and setting the anti bullying scene. \nAveril Petley\, Welsh Government would like to hear from you about what you feel are particular issues that should be addressed in any new guidance produced by Welsh Government and what format would new guidance be most helpful in. \nSunil Patel\, Show Racism the Red Card http://www.srtrc.org will share the interesting results of their latest survey to teachers. \nShan Jones\, Actus Education Cymru http://www.actus.wales sharing her views and experiences of working in the anti bullying field and giving us some ideas for anti bullying week. \nLeoni Oxenham\, Policy Adviser for the Children’s Commissioner for Wales http://www.childcomwales.org.uk  \n\nJoin us for open and frank discussions about the state of play on bullying amongst our children and young people in Wales. \nTell us what you think should be happening to affect real change in reducing bullying and hate crime\nShare with us your success stories\, plans for anti bullying week and resources that can be shared (if you would like a 5 minute slot to talk about your anti bullying week plans get in touch!)\n\nPlaces are limited so book your place early! \nReserve your place on the Children in Wales website.
