SUMMARY:C3SC Training: An Introduction to Safeguarding Childre
DESCRIPTION:Delivered in partnership with Children in Wales. \nA half-day course aimed at anyone working directly or indirectly with children and young people in a wide range of workplace and community settings. The purpose of the training is to give participants confidence and essential knowledge on how to safeguard the children and young people in their environment. \nAs a result of the training participants will: \n\nLearn about the legislation\, guidelines\, policies and procedures for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people\nUnderstand the roles of different agencies involved in safeguarding the welfare of children and young people\nUnderstand how to safeguard children\, young people and practitioners in a work setting\nIdentify the characteristics of different types of child abuse\nKnow how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused or neglected\nBe able to describe the principles and boundaries of confidentiality and when to share information\n\nPlease note:This training is provided free of charge by C3SC.  Priority booking will be given to organisations who qualify for free training under our pricing policy (see section below).  Other organisations wishing to attend\, please contact Natasha Applasamy at natasha.a@c3sc.org.uk \nBook online \nAlternatively\, email training@c3sc.org.uk or call us on (029) 2048 5722.
