DESCRIPTION:Please make the time to support the estimated 200\,000 women in Wales affected by domestic violence and abuse by attending: BE A MAN AND SPEAK UP: Hosted by Julie Morgan AM\, with Jane Hutt Minister for Finance and Leader of the House and Adam Jones\, Triple Grand Slam-winning star of the Welsh Rugby team 2005 – 2008 – 2012 \n  \nThe Women’s Rights Education and Advocacy Project is a flagship initiative by Cardiff Women’s Aid which builds the capacity of ordinary community members to speak up and take action against gender inequality and violence against women.  \nThe Project is now launching its exciting second phase: engaging men and boys to volunteer as positive role models for gender equality. \nCome to meet our passionate volunteer “Women’s Rights Champions”\, and hear how this promising model can change the lives of women across Wales.   \n  \nAgenda \n12.30 Introduction to the event by Julie Morgan AM \n12.35 Introduction to the Women’s Rights Project (Claudia Donati\, Project Leader) \n12.40 “Why should Men Care about Gender Equality?” (Adam Jones\, Welsh International Rugby Union player) \n12.45 Concluding comments by Jane Hutt AM \n12.50 Opportunity to meet and talk to volunteer “Women’s Rights Champions”  \n1.20 Close \n  \nA light lunch will be available.
