Following the uncertainty created by Brexit, EU citizens across the UK need information regarding their rights and their status in the UK over the coming years.
These events, which are organised by “the3million”, aim to provide information about EU citizens’ rights in the UK during Brexit, about the ‘settled status’ scheme, and to offer a Q&A session. The information will be introduced by the3million and delivered by a lawyer, made available through the EU Rights project. The lawyer is offered for free by the European Commission Representation in the UK, through the Law Centres Network, to provide impartial, politically neutral information.
This event in Cardiff is organised in partnership with TGP Cymru’s Travelling Ahead project (working with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities across Wales).
The session will be:
- a free information session on the EU Settlement Scheme with a trained immigration specialist: what people need to know, what they have to do
- the session is organised by the 3 Million organisation (www.the3million.org.uk), supported by Travelling Ahead at TGP Cymru (www.travellingahead.org.uk/rights-advice/wales-advice-advocacy-service/). The advice and information will be given by the Law Centres Network (www.lawcentres.org.uk/)
- the session will be translated into Czech, Hungarian, Romanian and Slovak
Date: Thursday 28th March
Time: 9.30am-11.30am
Place: Grangetown Primary School
This session is primarily for the EU Roma community in the Cardiff area, largely due to the work of Travelling Ahead.
