Get Healthy – Get Active

Wednesday 8th January 2020

12pm – 2pm

Y Neuadd, Senedd

Kindly Sponsored by Dr Dai Lloyd AM

Cymru Versus Arthritis are holding event in the Senedd to present the findings of an external evaluation report into our Get Active for Arthritis project and to raise awareness of the benefits of exercise in limiting the impact of arthritis.

Activity and exercise can be a challenge for people living with arthritis who may have given it up because of the painful symptoms of the condition. In addition, many people living with arthritis are not aware of the benefits of safe exercise in reducing the impact of their condition.

The event will provide an opportunity to speak to Get Active for Arthritis participants who have been empowered to be agents of their own health and wellbeing and to hear more about the importance of re-engaging people with arthritis with exercise to help them manage their condition effectively.

The Minister for Health and Social Services, Vaughan Gething AM, will be delivering the keynote speech.

Supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, Get Active for Arthritis is a unique project running across North and Mid Wales helping people living with Arthritis to take control of their condition and become more active and healthier, and to enjoy a more fulfilling life.
