ACE Job opportunity – Hidden Hillfort Development Officer
ACE is looking for a committed and creative individualwho will take a lead role in developing and delivering the CAER Hidden Hill Fort project in Cardiff West.
Location: Based at the Dusty Forge, Ely, Cardiff West
Closing date: Friday 21st February, 5pm
Hours: 37.5 hours
Salary: ACE Grade 2.5/3 (£24,990 – £27,030) dependent on experience
Contract end date: March 31st 2022
Working across Cardiff West you will report to the ACE Development Manager. With a sound understanding of community development principles you will work closely with the Archaeological and Project Director, community members and partners to develop understanding of Caerau hillfort. You will inspire community participation, develop and deliver school interventions, oversee volunteer engagement, and harness the potential of Caerau Hillfort for community well-being, inspiring new generations to value and participate in heritage. You will also be responsible for the coordination of CAER’s ‘Curiosity’ project, a three year Children in Need funded project that provides STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) learning opportunities for young people through open access youth provisions.
You should have considerable experience working in the youth and community sector with specific expertise to support project objectives.
